It is not secret that corruption is a major problem in Nepal.
Political instability and weak governing system in Nepal is the main reason to increased corruption level. Corruption has increased as the law implementing agency has bec
ome weaker due to various issues related to transition. Nepal is yet far behind in the fight against corruption, ill-governance and dysfunctions of its state mechanisms. Corruption is the major obstacle to economic and political reforms, accountability, transparency and good governance. Corruption has trickled into both private and public sectors, and into almost all walks of life.
Nepal's most corrupted sectors are Tax, Education, Health ,Judiciary ,law enforcement, Power and Electricity, Land administration, and Customs.as being said, Land administration, Customs and law enforcement are the main three sectors with an alarming rate of corruption. If all of this concerned sectors of Nepal were to stop their bribery only for a year, Nepal would have enough financial gain to build infrastructure and better living for its people.
Finally, fighting corruption is difficult but not impossible. It requires a new order of encouraging structures so that individuals change their behavior to think differently and act differently. What’s your view? Let’s talk about it.
