There is nothing like watching your favourite band, singer or musician performing live on stage. The ultimate thrill for a genuine fan is to be able to grab the front row seats of a concert and watch their idols perform right in front of them. Nothing beats the feeling of swaying to the beat of the music and getting in tune with what's being played on stage. 'Music is best when you hear them live'...that's what most believe!
People pay to see artists doing their music, dance or just tap a foot or two and have a good time with friends and family... basically enjoy the music and let your hair down a little. Nothing wrong with that, is it? Obviously you have not been to concerts recently. You would be one of those rare fortunate ones if you don't get hit by a water bottle, stones or even bricks. Why is that every concert, no matter how small, always end up in brawls? Why do these people come to such events if they don't enjoy the music in the first place? Performing artists are the most affected. They are up there giving their best and what do they get in return? A volley of abuses and fowl language? They concentrate more on dodging missiles rather than on their performances. It's worse for female performers. Drunken fights and other forms of violence have become synonymous with live shows in recent times and we complain of not having regular concerts and even if one is organized, there's hardly a crowd. Most people I know love their music and would surely love to attend live shows...but at what cost? Lets Talk About It and straighten things once and for all!
