Early Interest in Literature & Music
I was particularly attracted towards arts and literature since my childhood. I always used to participate in co-curricular/extra-curricular activities like painting exhibition, drama and performance, publication of wall magazines, poetry writing competition and recitation, and I still reminisce those moments.
So far Tin Aankhako Manchhe - 2045 (Samyukta Muktak Sangraha), Jindabaad-Muradabaad -2047 (Samyukta Kabita Sangraha), Yatra Pachhi Yatra - 2050 (Samyukta Sahitiyik Kriti), Sparsha-2061 (Music Album) and the recently released WORDS (Shabdaharu) -2066 (Music Album) are my literary and musical ventures. I am publishing a collection of poems soon.
Source of Inspiration
Since my field of interest has always been poetry, my senior poets and lyricist Dinesh Adhikari, Bishnu Bivu Ghimere, Tirtha Shrestha whose literary works I read enthused interest towards literature are my source of inspiration.
My journey of writing songs/lyrics started with Ram Krishna Dhakal'smusic album ' 'Asraya' where my first creation (lyrics) 'Mera Sara Khusiharu….(music composed by Sambhujeet Banskota) was sang by himself and incorporated into the album. I therefore must be grateful to him. Afterwards the music album 'Sparsha' – 2061 was released as a part of the continuation in the music field. I am highly indebted to people like Rajendra Shalav, Dinesh Adhikari, Satya Sworoop Acharya, Suresh Kumar who endlessly supported and inspired me in this field.
My attitude towards Music:
As a lyricist, I never considered songs purely as a means of entertainment. Rather, I have accepted it an art that helps us understand and learn more about life. Considering songs as a cultural/historical document, future generations must always remember and preserve the songs and the feelings (combining words, music, vocal, use of musical instruments) it projects.
