One of the acclaimed lyricists, Arun Tiwari is always known for his own writing genre and style. Songs like “Janmida Eklai Marda ni Eklai”, “Ma Mareko Chaina Ajhai” are the massive hit in the Nepali music fraternity. Most of his songs reflect the philosophy and spiritual feels. His songs are based on human philosophy and philosophy unparallel to his exploration of human relationship, the insight and sensitivity with which it addresses the many facts of daily life. He said; “When I write, I don’t keep in mind the materialistic world, I just am true to myself and these vibrations help me be myself when I am writing. I simply tap into the purity that comes from within.” Below are some of the opinions shared by his nearest and dearest one.
Manoj K.C. Samaya(RJLyricist)
Arun Tiwari is a kind of unusual and different, if someone is meeting him for the first time. Once someone become close with him, than they will be able to know the real him, I would say. There is a life in his creativity. He is very inspired by Leo Tolstoy. All his work is characterized by his own style, careful construction and deep insight into the human nature. Arun dai always penned his lyrics with emotion and everyone can identify with that. We can find the intense flow of sensation in his every word. I think, he never was inspired by superficial and facetious writing. Some people tell him that he is proud person but I think he is one of the professional lyricists of Nepal and never compromise in writing as well as in his rate. The fact is, his commercial attitude makes them feel like this. Even I learned a lot of things from him.
We share a very close relationship. I treat him more as an elder brother. We often meet and share things. He is always ready with suggestions and advices. He is very frank to me. I really adore his writing skills. His songs have a depth which is enough to stir the human emotion. I like the way he uses Sentiments and reality in his songs. Sometimes he is more idealistic and philosophical which makes him little bit different from others.
He is one of the best lyricists of Nepal. Nature wise, he is very down to earth and very helpful. He has this habit of putting his mind and soul into what he is doing. He is very helpful. He is a fantastic human being and moreover, he is much endowed in literature. He has an ample knowledge about the world literature. I think, he is an inspiration to others in writing field. He always respect to his senior writers and don’t be back ever to help the juniors if they ask for idea. I think he is a wonderful lyricist and very gifted one.
The internal mechanism one writes with is hidden and something we are born with, but the way we nurture it and help it grow is what makes you a good or bad lyricist. As deep roots make you strong; I think, Arun Tiwari has his yawning and strong roots which are just proved by his skills of writing. For the first time, I met him at Maitidevi. I used to pass by Maitidevi for my vocal class and that was the main junction of Arun Dai. He is very simple person. He just doesn’t like to show off. The way he expresses the emotion through his lexis is something I really like.
