Normally, unknown new artists entering the music industry with their music, do not make it to the headlines here on fursad.com but if someone who has been dubbed as the ‘horse meant for the long race’, comes into the picture, we sure would want to know more about it. Even the harshest of critics say that this promising new kid named Sunil Ranabhat has something in him to make an impact in this highly competitive world of Nepali music; where one wrong move and you find yourself lost in the wilderness among the hordes of ‘wanna be’s’.
Born in the year
2043, Baisak 23rd in Ram Bazaar, Pokhara to
Baba Krishna Badhru and
Bishnu Ranabhat, this young talented lad with an amazingly good melodious voice confesses that he has

been hugely inspired by
Karna Das. Besides occasional tips from the ‘Big brother’, he has had no formal training in music but that compensates from the little time that he has spent discussing music with
Karna himself…the rest he has worked on his own and is rather confident of ‘making it’. It is with this confidence that he has just released an album titled ‘
Meri Aama’ under the label of
Rebel Creation. “It’s a tribute to my mother”, states
Sunil. His love and respect for the one who gave him birth has also been emphasized on the cover of the album with printed statements like
“Sangharsha Ko Pahad Uklaney Swabhimani Chora Haru, Birshadinan Janmadiney Aama Ka Sapana Haru”. Comprising of a total of eight songs,
Rajan Raj Shivakoti has provided the music and with the music video of the single ‘
Dekhi Shayanan’ being received well on the various TV channels, looks like Sunil has put his right foot forward. We here at
fursad.com wish him the best. Welcome aboard
Sunil!
